Division One

Division One champions Carew were home to bottom of the table Narberth, who knuckled down to score 91-9 as the Carew bowlers bowled accurately and made the most of the conditions following the wet week.

Opener Richard Adams scored 20 as did middle order batsman Jordan Howell and there were useful double figure scores by Ben Quartermaine, Ben Hughes and Chris Spratt, who hit two fours in the last over.

Rhys Davies took 5-24 and Matthew Phillips 2-9 whilst Steffan Davies and Tom Davies gave little away.

Carew also found run scoring difficult after the tea interval and for the first 20 overs the scoring rate was approximately one run per over and four batsmen were back in the pavilion after being dismissed.

Left arm spinner Ian Hughes proved particularly difficult to get away and took 1-10 in 12 overs and Ben Hughes picked up the other four wickets at a personal cost of 27 runs.

Nick Scourfield was 27no when the match was abandoned following a rain break with Carew on 76-5 and Gareth Lewis scored 28.

When the umpires called a halt to proceedings there was elation in the Narberth camp as it meant Narberth surviving in Division One with Saundersfoot being relegated as their match at Lawrenny could not be played.

In the only other Division One match played, Cresselly were bowled out for 140 away to Llangwm. Damian Arthur top scored on 26, supported by opener Andrew Harris with 23 and Ryan Lewis with 17. Ollie Davies, Andrew Harries and Darren Brick each picked up three of the wickets to fall.

Llangwm won by four wickets upon reaching 142-6 with Gary Phillips 43no including four sixes and two fours, Richard Brock hit three sixes in his innings of 30, Matthew Kiff scored 28 and Andrew Harries 23.

Lyn Richards and Sam Harts each took two wickets for the visitors.

Division Two

Carew Seconds finished in second place of the Division Two table, behind champions Llanrhian, following a six wickets win away to Pembroke who were dismissed for 110.

Rob Weston scored 36 and Andrew Hay 26 as Robert Scourfield and Joel Rhead both took 3-16.

Opener Barry Evans with 31no and Chris Cole with 44 including seven fours had a match winning partnership of 66 for the third wicket, to take the visitors to a total of 111-4 as Jonathan Rogers took 2-16.

Cresselly Second finished in third place and relegation threatened Johnston survived the drop when their match was abandoned with Johnston on 103-9 from 43 overs in reply to a Cresselly Seconds total of 105 all out.

Stefan Jenkins top scored for the hosts with 55, including six fours and one six, supported by Neal Williams with 23. Nathan James took 3-30 for Johnston with Richard James and Paul Hood each taking two of the wickets to fall.

In the Johnston innings John Summons held things together with 25, supported by Leigh Walters with 23 and Chris Walters with 17, as Scott Arthur ran through the batting line-up in a 6-39 spell.

Divisions Three

Lamphey clinched the Division Three championship with a 96 runs win at home to Llangwm Seconds, who were bowled out for 50 chasing a Lamphey total of 146-8.

Andrew Skeels scored 29no for the hosts, supported by Hywel Gibbs with 24 and Gianluca Tremarco with 20, backed up by 17no by Grant Cole and a rapid 16 from Jonathan Hyde.

Rain interrupted play a number of times after the tea interval, as the visitors battled to secure a draw. Chris Thomas top scored with 17 and opener Ian Gow proved difficult to remove, but spinner Hywel Gibbs took 5-10 in his nine overs and skipper Jason Oatley 2-7 to dismiss the visitors for 50.

In the battle for second place at Stackpole, the visitors Pembroke Dock blew their chances after being dismissed for 83 in reply to a Stackpole total of 144-7.

Josh Davies led the way with 40, backed up by Anthony Canton with 34no amd left hander Hugh Davies with 30.

Anthony Canton followed up his runs with a 4-12 spell as wickets tumbled, with the only resistance coming from Nick Daley and Chris Boyett with 15 apiece.

Division Four

A seven-wicket win by Saundersfoot Seconds over Hundleton ensured they were promoted to division three and condemned their opponents to the division below.

Tom Richards was the star of the show, striking an unbeaten 41 alongside his 2-27, while Chris Parker took 3-13.

Yannick Parker contributed 20 and Richard Cope an unbeaten 16 to secure the win as they passed the visitors' 98-8 with ease, ending on 100-3.

Kilgetty's victory push against Cresselly thirds ended after skipper Anthony Bevan was out for 43 as the visitors came agonisingly close to overhauling the home team's 130-9.

The Kingsmoor outfit finished on 120-7, a mere 11 runs short of victory. In Cresselly's innings, Iwan Izzard hit 48 and Steve Wilkins 25 to guarantee a competitive total following good bowling by Bevan, who took 3-12 and Richard Prout who took 2-32.

Jake Marsh contributed 25 to the victory push, but no-one else could get a start against Phil James and George Wilkins, who took five wickets between them.

St. Clears finished the season with a defeat after Carew thirds bowled them out for 50 and passed the total for the loss of four wickets.

Martin Thomas was the only player to get going for the Saints as he struck 30 as Lewis Hicks stole the show with 6-18.

He then added 28 to ensure he was man-of-the-match, while Matthew Whitfield scored 15 not out in an easy win for them.

Division Five

All matches in division five were abandoned apart from Pembroke Dock seconds' home clash with St. Florence, who would have been relegated had Hundleton firsts not come down from division four, thus rendering their defeat insignificant.

The Saints lost by two wickets in a tight tussle, posting 152-8, with Ben McDonnell smashing eight 4s in his 60, while Jonathan Edwards struck an imperious 43. Jonny Hay took 3-39 for the Dock and Daniel Heeps 2-20 to limit St. Florence's scoring.

In reply, Barry Phillips took 3-11 and McDonnell 2-11, yet a fiery innings by Jason Griffiths, who scored 60, and a commanding 39 not out by Andrew Wood ensured the home side came out on top.

Lawrenny and Neyland seconds were promoted to division four after their attempts at playing came to nothing when the game was abandoned during Lawrenny's innings.

The result ensured Lawrenny were crowned champions, yet they allowed the home side to score 178-4 thanks in no small part to Alex Codd and Scott Jones who scored 93 and 58, respectively.

Ben Cole took 2-31 for the visitors and Jonathan Beff struck an unbeaten 28, but the rain was the winner on the day.

Narberth thirds were relegated.

Division Six

There were no games played in division six as the weather put paid to that, but Stackpole seconds won't be complaining as they were crowned champions. Hundleton seconds would have joined them in going up, but due to their firsts coming down from the division above, another season in division six awaits next year.
