Division One
Carew look odds-on favourites to win this year's division one championships as they gained a comfortable eight-wicket home win over Lawrenny.
The league leaders raced to victory after the visitors made a commendable 175-9 thanks to Andrew Cole's 54 and Steven Lewis's 36, although their bowlers were not as effective as the home team's Tom Davies and Steffan Davies, who took two wickets apiece, and Matthew Phillips, who took 3-35.
Nic Scourfield was once again the mainstay of the Carew batting, hitting a cultured 62, while Adam Chandler struck an unbeaten and stylish 72 to lead Carew over the winning line.
Further east, three proved to be the magic number for Whitland's Jonathan Thomas as the all-rounder took 3-33 against Haverfordwest as the town were held to 167-7
He then found form with the bat in helping overhaul the total by hitting 33, alongside David Dunfee's 39 and Steffan James, who scored the same.
The Borderers passed the total for the loss of seven wickets, giving them a three wicket win. Simon Holliday was the visitors' most successful batsman, hitting an unbeaten 64, while Ben Field scored 36.
Cresselly moved off the bottom rung of the ladder after gaining their third win of the season following a six-wicket win against Narberth
Narberth were reduced to 133 all out thanks to Ryan Lewis's 4-24, with Jordan Howells's 31 being the top score, closely followed by Richie Adams, who struck 29.
Julian Arthur wasted no time in helping Cresselly to victory, hitting a brutal unbeaten 66.
Saundersfoot slipped to their fifth defeat of the season as their campaign has gone from great to terrible in the space of weeks.
The weather has affected all teams in the division, but none more than the Seasiders who have lost six games to the elements. That said, they were the leaders earlier on in the season, but their form has deserted them to such an extent that they now prop up the table.
They were bundled out for 72 away at Llangwm in chasing a commanding total of 223-9, Dai Davies being the only bright spot as he took 5-57. Dan Trowers hit 23 for the visitors, but it was never enough as wickets tumbled around him as Ollie Davies took 5-5 and Andrew Harries 2-14. Harries was the undoubted man-of-the-match as he helped set the tone of the innings by striking 91.
Division Two
Cresselly Seconds enjoyed a three-wicket away win at Pembroke as they passed the home team's paltry 103 all out for the loss of seven wickets.
Pembroke found the going tough against the accurate bowling of Iwan Izzard, who took 5-20, and Matthew Lewis, who took 2-17. Rob Weston provided the only resistance of the day in his 39 and he was on form with the ball, too, taking 2-29, but Alex Bailey's 22 and Harry Thomas's 24 not out ensured Cresselly remain in second place.
Carew Seconds travelled to Hook and held on for a draw, finishing on 148-9 while chasing Hook's 179-9.
Dominic Hicks was on form for Carew taking 4-31, while Jonathan Harries took 3-30, but in reply, the only batsmen to get to grips with Hook's bowling was Ceri Brace, who struck 41 and Luke Hicks who hit 28.
Whitland Seconds were unable to repeat the performance of the Firsts as they went down at Haverfordwest Seconds, who batted first and hit 213-3 thanks to Danny Potter's 117 not out.
The Borderers' second string were then bundled out for 136 in reply, the only scores of note coming from Carl Smith's 26 and Dan Newton's 22.
Only one game was played in division three as the rain played havoc with the fixtures as Johnston Seconds drew with their Llangwm counterparts.
Division Four
Cresselly Thirds hung on to gain a draw at struggling Hundleton who batted first to score 129-7. Craig Williams hit 40 for the home team, while Jonathan Williams hit 29 and John Tysoe 23; Phil James taking 3-7 for the visitors.
In reply, Cresselly limped to 105-9, Simon Allen-Clark scoring 41.
Mark Hicks scored an unbeaten 95 for Carew Thirds at home against Hook Seconds, yet his brilliant innings couldn't prevent them from going down as the visitors won by four wickets.
Although they lost six wickets in the process, Hook chased down the total of 172 for 2 thanks to David Petrie's 79 not out.
Saundersfoot Seconds gained the bragging rights over Kilgetty as they won by four wickets. The Seasiders had few problems in passing Kilgetty's 106-7 as Peter Morris scored 30 and Sam Franklin 23.
Franklin was on form with the ball, too, taking 2-26 and he was supported by Jack Franklin, who took 2-16, and Chris Parker, who snared two victims of his own.
St Clears' match away at Camrose was abandoned.
Division Five
Lawrenny Seconds gained a six-wicket win at home against Pembroke Seconds. The visitors batted first and scored 143-9 thanks to Colin Kaijacks's 35. Steve Rees was Lawrenny's chief destroyer, taking 4-20.
In reply, Steve Campbell ensured the win, hitting an unbeaten 65, while John Fuller struck 28 and Chris Buckle 26.
Division Six
The only game to go ahead in division six was played at Stackpole, who beat Whitland Thirds by 20 runs in a pulsating tussle.
Batting first, the home side scored 140-7 thanks to Phil Tallett's unbeaten 50 and James Adie's 30.
Hefin Thomas scored 30 for Whitland and Paul Oeppen 20, but accurate bowling by the home side ensured Whitland were pipped at the post.
