Division One

Leaders Carew have strengthened their grip at the top of the table with a big demolition job away to Saundersfoot, who were dismissed for 100 in reply to a Carew total of 220-5.

Ian Sefton and Rhys Davies enjoyed a fourth wicket stand of 115 for the visitors, with Sefton finishing on 95no, including 10 fours and four sixes, and Davies 55, including one six and six fours.

Earlier, Adam Chandler played well for his 36, including six fours.

When the hosts replied, Danny Caine scored a lively 28 with six fours and his brother James 18, but it was a good all round bowling and fielding display by the leaders as Matthew Phillips finished with 3-20 and Tom Davies 3-21.

Second placed Neyland are 41 points behind after losing at home to Whitland by 15 runs.

Owain Evans scored 51 and Jonathan Thomas 28 in a Whitland total of 163 all out, as Anton John took 3-27 and Nick Koomen 3-35.

Although skipper Andrew Miller scored 54 and Koomen showed his all round qualities with an innings of 34, the hosts were bowled out for 136 as spinner Jonathan Thomas took 5-40 backed up by David Dunfee with 2-10.

Cresselly continued to show signs of recovery in an innings of 228-5 at home to St. Ishmaels.

Skipper Phil Williams with 78, including 11 fours and one six, had a second wicket partnership of 93, with Scott Arthur who scored 37 to provide the platform for the Cresselly total, as Simon Cole revealed his strokes in an innings of 42no and Julian Arthur had a blustering innings of 22no.

Although Peter Bradshaw and Andrew Palmer had a third wicket partnership of 90, with Bradshaw scoring 64, including eight fours, and Palmer 42, with three fours and three sixes, apart from Karl Rhead with 31 the remaining Tish batsmen could not find their touch as Stefan Jenkins took 4-51.

A depleted Llangwm team were bowled out for 84 away to Narberth with Andrew Harries top scoring on 33.

Spinner Matthew Johns took 3-2, Wayne Howells 3-14 and left arm spinner Ian Hughes 3-6.

Narberth soon raced to 90-2 to win by eight wickets, with Marc Hughes leading the way in an attacking innings of 60 which included 10 fours and two sixes.

Lawrenny came very close to defeating Haverfordwest at the Racecourse, but the Town survived on 150-9 in reply to a massive Lawrenny total of 257-7, through a gritty last wicket partnership between Clive Tucker and Avron Roulstone.

Brad Jenkins played the innings of his life in scoring 115 with some splendid clean and straight hitting as he cleared the ropes nine times and also crossed them nine times with boundaries.

He received support from Andrew Cole with 34, Steve Lewis with 26 and his father Ian Jenkins with 24no.

Avron Roulstone took 3-54 for the hosts.

Town skipper Simon Holliday followed up his two wickets with an innings of 46 and Ben Field scored 20, but Simon Cole ripped through the batting line up with a 5-40 spell, backed up by Robert Williams with 2-29.

Division Two

Pembroke continued their promotion bid with a dramatic one wicket win away to Johnston who were dismissed for 147, as Rob Weston took 3-34 and there were two wickets each for Jonathan Roger and Jack Harries.

Chris Walters led the way for Johnston with 44, backed up by John Summons with 18.

In reply, the visitors reached 148-9 with Luke Butler scoring 40 and Rob Mathias 30.

Nathan James took 5-32 for the hosts.

Third placed Carew Seconds had a sevens wickets win at home to Herbrandston after bowling out the visitors for 102. Jonty Bennett top scored for Herbie with 28.

For the hosts, there were two wickets each for Johnnie Harries, leg spinner Ceri Brace and all-rounder James Hinchcliffe.

In reply, Carew Seconds scored 106-3 with James Hinchcliffe striking eight fours in his innings of 46, backed up by Joe Kidney with 23no.

Whitland Seconds remain in the relegation zone after going down by 65 runs at home to Cresselly Seconds.

The visitors posted a total of 173-7 as Nick Davies scored 50, Iwan Izzard 23 and Matthew Morgan 20.

Two experienced campaigners had the wickets for Whitland with Meyrick Rowland finishing on 4-32 and Paul Webb 2-31.

The two bowlers both scored 18 in the Whitland innings and Kevin Pearce scored 22, but the hosts were bundled out for 108 as Iwan Izzard took 4-24 and Bobby Webb 3-21 including the prized scalp of his father Paul!

Division Three

In the Division Three match of the day, Stackpole outplayed the leaders Lamphey to erode their lead at the top of the table to just 16 points.

The visitors batted first and built up a formidable total of 223-6 after openers John Davies and James Aidie had a first wicket partnership of 89, with Aidie scoring 56, including eight fours and Davies 38.

Huw Cox maintained the flow of runs in his fine innings of 60, which included a brace of sixes and eight fours and John Williams chipped in with 40.

Lamphey wickets tumbled in search of the runs and the only innings of note came from teenager Scott Brunton with a battling 32, including six fours, backed up by Grant Cole with 18, before Lamphey put up the shutters to reach 119-7.

John Williams took 2-14 and Chris Gibbs 2-20.

Third placed Pembroke Dock had another big win, this time by seven wickets at home to Narberth Seconds who were dismissed for 109.

Brynley Toms top scored with 19 as Chandra Murugesan took 4-5 in his last game for the Dock before moving to Swansea after Jake Davies had taken 3-28.

Jake Davies was also on form with the bat with an attacking innings of 68, including 12 fours and one six in a Dock total of 112-3.

Spinner Mike Johns took 2-15.

Crymych had a nine wickets win at home to Johnston Seconds after restricting the visitors to 135-9.

Andrew Page scored 54 and Liam Boswell 26no as Andrew Thomas took 3-49 and Alan Luke 3-50.

Crymych skipper Sam Kurtz then had an undefeated and fluent 95 supported by Osian Wyn with 51 in a total of 139-1 to take the Glandy Cross team to a nine wickets win.

Division Four

Kilgetty's drainage woes came to haunt them once again as their pitch was deemed unplayable following the heavy rain meaning their match against Hundleton was the only game to be cancelled over the weekend.

It was the fifth game the Kingsmoor outfit have lost to the weather this season and the sixth in total for the visitors who remain second from bottom in the division.

Carew thirds were able to travel to Burton seconds and they valiantly chased the 195 total set by the home side yet fell short on 153-6.

Aled Davies was the chief wicket taker for the visitors as the veteran took 4-46 with Lewis Hicks snaring two wickets and Greg Morris one as the home side were bowled out.

Hicks was in form with the bat too scoring 72 in the reply as Jeremy Griffiths scored 34.

Cresselly Thirds remain in third place after their sixth win of the season following victory over Hook seconds.

Hook were bundled out for 111, with Steve Thomas taking 4-38 and Simon Allen-Clark 3-5 and the dynamic duo were in form with the bat too as Thomas scored 33 and Allen-Clark and unbeaten 26 in reply.

Huw Evans was also in the runs with a sprightly 24.

St. Clears look favourites to be one of two sides to be promoted as they recorded their seventh win of the campaign. The Saints defeated Llanrhian seconds with ease as they batted first and scored 206-4.

Martin Thomas fell nine runs short of a deserved century while Jason Evans scored 47.

In reply, the visitors could only muster 88 all out as Nathan Evans took 4-8 and Rob Morgan 2-26.

Saundersfoot Seconds lost their third game of the season as they went down at leaders Camrose and Spittal.

Batting first, the Seasiders were bowled out for 94 with Paul Morris the only batsman to shine with an innings of 31.

Rhodri Owen took 2-73 as Camrose sailed to victory as they passed the total for the loss of five wickets.

Division Five

Narberth Thirds lost by 95 runs against St. Ishmaels Seconds as the visitors could only score 72 in reply to Tish's 167 all out.

Sean Coaker and Dan Hughes shared eight wickets between them for Narberth, but the batting let them down in reply as only Huw Simpkins with an unbeaten 25 and Ceri Davies with 20 showed any resistance.

Lawrenny Seconds ensured it was a day to remember for the village as they defeated Pembroke Dock Seconds by 41 runs.

Batting first, Adrian Harries ensured they battled to 102-8 with a gritty 27 as Johnnie Hayes (3-18), John Davies (2-19) and James Olyott (2-18) took the wickets.

The Dock were skittled for 61 in reply, with Davies contributing 20. John Fuller bowled well in taking 4-13, while Steve Campbell took 2-0.

St. Florence chased leather all afternoon as two Herbrandston batsmen scored centuries in their total of 232-0.

If taking no wickets were bad enough, the visitors were then bowled out for 87 in reply with Jonathan Edwards being the only batsman to make a telling contribution in his innings of 23, while Sean Conbeer struck 14.

Division Six

Hundleton Seconds eased to a 67 run victory over Crymych Seconds scoring 105 all out and then bowling their opponents out for 38 in reply.

David Lockyear scored 26 not out for the home side before David Pratt ran in to take 6-15. For Crymych, John Williams took 3-15.

Lamphey Seconds eased to a nine wicket win over Fishguard as they travelled away to bundle the home side out for 43. Mal Llewellyn destroyed the opposition with 6-11, before Dan Cremin showed his potential in hitting 34 in reply to seal the win.

Stackpole Seconds remain top after obliterating bottom side Llanrhian Thirds by 154 runs.

Richard Simon fell for 91 in the home team's 188 all out and Roger Lewis hit 33 before a 3-3 burst by Marcus Adie ensured 30 points for the Lilies.
