Blackwood 28 pts. Narberth 30
Narberth came back from the brink of defeat to steal a memorable win away at Blackwood after trailing the East Walians 28-13 early in the second half.
A slow start gifted the home side the lead as they scorched 13-0 ahead following a converted try and penalty.
A try by centre Morgan Griffiths after a brilliant run by Tomi Jones allowed the visitors to reduce the deficit to 13-7 after Ianto Griffiths converted, but another home penalty increased their lead soon after.
Griffiths then added a penalty for the visitors just before the break to give them some much-needed points after playing 40 minutes against a troublesome breeze.
The wind didn't seem to affect the home side early in the second, however, as they raced ahead with another couple of tries, the second from an intercepted Griffiths pass, but then Narberth found their straps as they came back to deny the home side victory.
A penalty by Griffiths brought them to 38-13 before scrum-half Adrian Killa raced over, with Griffiths converting.
Tomi Jones then had a try disallowed, but the referee awarded the Otters a scrum-five, from which Griffiths jinked over to score.
He failed to convert, but with two minutes to go, a brilliant break by fullback Nick Gale allowed him to put Alex Jenkins over for a last minute bonus point win.
Narberth fielded: Nick Gale, Jonathan Morgan, Richard Davies, Morgan Griffiths (James Stephenson), Tomi Jones, Ianto Griffiths, Adrian Killa (Rhys Lane), Sean Lloyd (Ollie Evans), Dan Smith, Tom Slater, Alex Jenkins, Joshua Helps, Dylan Richards (Wayne Williams), Stuart Worrall (Lewis Wood) and Steffan Phillips.
