Neyland have capped an excellent period of 12 months, by adding Welsh Indoor Cricket Champions to their honours list on top of the Pembrokeshire title. In addition, Neyland won the coveted Thomas Scourfield and Sons Harrison-Allen Bowl and finished third in the Nicholas Insurance Services Pembroke County Cricket League.

In the Welsh Indoor finals at Cardiff, opponents Gowerton and Pentyrch proved to be no match for the marauders from Pembrokeshire.

Gowerton were held to 62-5, a total which Neyland passed without losing a wicket, with skipper Gregg Miller 26 not out and Paul Murray 25 not out.

It was a similar story against Pentyrch, with the Cardiff village side bowled out for 68. Neyland did lose one wicket, but reached 70-1 without any further problems, as Paul Murray and Andrew Miller both scored 26 not out.

Neyland are due to meet a team from Herefordshire in the zone final at Milford Haven on Sunday, February 19

The Nick Evans (The Cricket Shop, Narberth) Indoor Cricket League resumes on Sunday, February 5, when Narberth will play for the first time this season, with games against Neyland and Haverfordwest.
