Dinghy Racing - With a strong W’ly breeze and a building flood tide across the course, five boats went out to do battle.
A port hand triangular course was set and as the boats set up for the start, one Osprey sailed by the dynamic duo of Dan Jackson and Steve Stubbs was no where to be seen.
They realised that the start was imminent and headed back to the line on port at full speed but were late giving Jaime Bohata and Tim Griff in the other Osprey a fighting chance.
The ILCA 4s of Macsen Barber and Nina Marsh had a good race with Nina getting the better of Macsen. Slowly but surely Dan and Steve reeled Jaime in managed to get past to take the Osprey win. The Phantom of Jon Nuttall won on handicap.
The second race had a better start with Macsen Barber nailing it at the boat end. He managed to increase his lead over Nina through the race. The ospreys had a good battle with Jaime coming out on top this time. But the Phantom took the second bullet, with a one sided beat the Phantom is hard to supress especially in flat water.
