Narberth ended their division one campaign for the 2013/14 season with a draw against newly-crowned champions Hakin United at Jesse Road on Saturday. The title may have already been decided, but both sides held nothing back as Gary Dawes's Hakin team are hoping to go the entire season unbeaten in the league and Matthew Price's Narberth outfit are fighting it out with Tenby for third place. The Bluebirds started the game brightly and were ahead inside the first 20 minutes as player/manager Matthew Price crossed for Tony Evans to score from close range. However, on the half-hour mark, the champions were level, as an Arron Owens effort from the edge of the area, somehow found its way into the bottom corner. Narberth went ahead just before half-time, Ashley Williams firing into the bottom corner to score for the sixth consecutive game. Midway through the second half, an error by Narberth 'keeper Durbridge let in James Stanmore to equalise. Narberth player/manager Matthew Price said afterwards: "It was a game of two halves, a draw was a fair result. A big thank you to all at Narberth AFC for a great season."
