Liz Storey, Lady Captain of Tenby Golf Club, was delighted to see the sun still shining for her special day.

Fifty ladies ventured forth to play the competition and came in to be entertained afterwards by Liz to drinks and nibbles on the patio.

Later in the evening, nearly all the ladies returned for a lovely meal in the clubhouse, followed by prize-giving.

There were some very good scores recorded, but the winners were:

Division One - 1. Ruth Goldwait 41 pts; 2. Sue Shooter 38.

Division Two - 1. Julie Lovett 46 pts; 2. Vicky Burks 38.

Division Three - 1. Judy Brew 36 pts; 2. Gill John 35.

Nine hole - 1. Joan Pugh; 2. Senga Waddilove.

Nearest the pin, sixth hole - Georgia Thomas.

Congratulations also to Sarah Waring and Gill John (pictured right) for winning the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire County Golf Association Greensome competition, held this year at Carmarthen.

This is the third consecutive year they have won this trophy.

Finally, a big thank you to Ruth and Matt Goldwait for their generous sponsorship of the Charnwait Texas Scramble competition this week. All players enjoyed their 'goody bags' and a full report will follow later.
