The annual Kilgetty Football Club senior presentation evening for the 2011/2012 season was held recently at the Sports Club.

The usual enthusiastic participants were addressed by the club president, Stewart Wilde, who reflected on the highs and lows of the season. Club chairman Paul Smith thanked all those members, friends and sponsors, without whose help the club would be unable to function.

The presentations were as follows: First team Player of the Year - Josh Bevan; First team leading goal scorer - Adam Johns; Second team Player of the Year - Jack Franklin; Second team leading goal scorer - Mike Beynon; Young Player of the Year - Anthony Lewis; Hugh Beynon trophy for the best new player - Jack Franklin; Huw Morgan trophy for dedicated clubman - Grant James; George Edwards trophy for sportsman of the year - Gareth (Gaffer) Gwyther.

Special presentations were made to: Dave Marklew for his long playing service to the club; Nicky Hurst and Joy Philips for providing after-match food to the players, and to the stewardess Louise Cullen for her general help and assistance.

A raffle was held and the club extends thanks to everyone who donated prizes and to everyone who bought tickets.

The club also appreciated the work done by David Griffiths and his sons in serving up the pork rolls.

Committee members, players and members are reminded that the annual general meeting of the Football Club will be held in the clubhouse at 7.30 pm on Monday, June 25.
