Jordan Williams scored a hat-trick as Narberth ran out comfortable winners over Pennar Robins at Jesse Road on Saturday afternoon.

Narberth, who are still top of the division one table, made a good start to the game as Williams hit the inside of the post.

It wasn't long before Narberth's early pressure paid off, when in-form striker Tony Evans fired into the bottom corner for his fifth goal in three games.

Almost immediately, the ball was in the back of the Pennar net again, only for the goal to be disallowed, as Aled Thomas was adjudged to have used his hand to divert it in.

However, Narberth were not to be denied a second goal as defender Iestyn Scourfield headed home an Aled Thomas corner.

The Bluebirds were well on top at this point and Pennar goalkeeper Stuart James pulled off a wonder save, when he tipped a Matthew Price effort over the bar.

Shortly afterwards, Jordan Williams scored the goal of the game, as his 25-yard effort found the top corner.

Pennar were handed a lifeline prior to the break, as they were awarded a penalty. James Sture scored from the spot.

Any hope of a Pennar comeback was gone within a minute of the second half starting, however, as Tony Evans set up player/manager Matthew Price, who placed the ball home.

From this point onwards, it was Pennar goalkeeper Stuart James who was receiving all of the applause from the crowd, as he pulled off a string of fantastic saves to prevent Narberth from scoring several more goals.

As the final whistle approached, Jordan Williams scored twice in quick succession with two neat finishes.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Narberth visit champions Hakin United. Narberth and Hakin are the only two sides in the first division that are unbeaten, and even at this early stage of the season, this promises to be an exciting encounter.
