SEVEN crews made the most of good conditions at Tenby Sailing Club for the evening dinghy racing on Tuesday, 18 August.
The results were as follows: 1, Osprey 1380, Robin and Matt; 2, Phantom 1435, Ben; 3, Osprey 1342, Ted and Lucas; 4, ILCA7, Steve; Equal 4, Phantom 13 6, Alex Carr; 6, R241, Julian and Howard; 7, RS800 1186, Steve and Jas.
There were excellent conditions for two races on Saturday, 22 August.
The results were as follows:
Race 1: 1, Osprey 1380, Dan and Matt; 2, Osprey 1342, Ted and James Bohata; 3, RS AERO7, Dylan Williams; 4, Europe 444, Robin; 5, Scorpion 1995, Peter and Igor; 6, Contender 646, Steve Leach; 7, Osprey 1330, John and Gary.
Race 2: 1, Osprey 1380; 2, Scorpion 1995; 3, Europe 444; 4, Osprey 1342; 5, Contender 646; 6, RS AREO7; 7, Osprey 1330.
The overall leader for the 2026 Simon Evans Trophy is Osprey 1380, sailed by Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait.
The Redwings were out in force again for a race to Saundersfoot and back on Sunday, 23 August 23.
Sadly the wind was too light to complete the full course, but a result was achieved after the course was shortened.
The finishing order was as follows: 1, R244, Robin and Matt; 2, R225, Mike and Deanna; 3, R190, Alex and Iolo; 4, R249, Dan and Scarlett; 5, R241, Jules and Howard; 6, R178, Ben and Alistair; 7, R228, Bill and Nan. Big thanks to Jan for manning the Rhib, and to Nan for the snacks afterwards.
Tenby Sailing Club is now preparing for another National Championship. The Phantom Class will be here from 3-6 September.
Cruiser races are scheduled for 25 August and 29 August.
