On Tuesday, March 31, John Roberts and Michael Jackson were unsuccessful when they came up against an extremely strong team in Robert Weale and Ian Slade, of Islwyn, in the quarter-finals of the Welsh Open Pairs at Port Talbot.

With our tournaments over, our presentation evening was held on Wednesday, April 1, and was very well attended, although some of our members were unable to attend due to Welsh Open competitions being held the same evening (our apologies for that. We'll try not to clash next season). Congratulations to all league and competition winners. Many thanks to all who contributed raffle prizes and refreshments and to all who made it a very enjoyable evening.

Steph Amos travels to Islwyn this weekend for the Champion of Champions competition. Our best wishes go with her. Our best wishes also go with John Roberts, Chris Court and Michael Jackson who are due to play M. Davies, D. Kingdon and A. Howells, of Llanelli, in the Welsh Open Triples semi-finals being held at Merthyr tomorrow. Finals will be held on Sunday 12th.
