Last weekend, the Wales U15 National Netball Squad held a training camp at SWNC - Sport Wales National Centre. The training camp consisted of matches, training sessions and even a meal out!

Local netballer Hari Truman participated in this weekend, taking part in training, theory sessions and matches to help her develop new skills.

After beginning their training camp with a 'fitness in the park' session, which consisted of ladders and core work, the Wales U15 squad went on to battle Team Bath junior side in a tightly fought match. Hari helped her Wales U15 side come away with a 42-29 win.

Following the match, the players were treated to watching a netball superleague match between Welsh side, the Celtic Dragons against the Yorkshire Jets.

During the camp, the U15 side also played Carn Brea Storm, a junior club side from Cornwall. It was a tough match, but the Wales U15s managed to fend off the opposition, who were brightly dressed in orange and blue, to win 55-46, with everyone in the squad supporting the team on and off the court.

Hari played at WA for the match and showed fantastic drives down court to help her side to the win.

The Wales U15 squad are now working hard and training towards playing Manchester club side Oldham U15s. This will be a tough match for the Welsh side, but Hari commented "as our coach says to all of us - the cream always rises to the top, so we know with hard work and dedication we can rise to the competition."

Hari Truman hopes to be able to gain more playing experiences and to continue to progress through the Welsh netball age groups.
