LADIES CHRISTMAS LUNCH AND PRESENTATION

The ladies’ section recently combined the annual presentation with their Christmas lunch at their lovely home, Trefloyne Manor.

It was hosted jointly by 2016 lady captain Lind Coward and new lady captain Ann Dassen.

Great fun was had by all and the food was absolutely fabulous. Lind started proceedings by presenting a cheque for an amazing £2,000 to the Pembrokeshire branch of Cancer Research UK.

She then went on to present trophies to:

Heather Thorne - Club Champion’s Vase, Dorrit Parry Senior Salver, Breakthrough Brooch.

Beth McMann -Stableford Bowl, Hen and Chick Trophy, All Winner’s Shield, Dragon Brooch, GUW Medal.

Jane Meyrick - Celtic Cup, Glenda Pearce Summer League, CC Handicap Vase, Captain’s Day Trophy.

Lind Coward - Homestead Trophy, Flemish Heights Order of Merit.

Ann Dassen - Jenkins of Pembroke Easter Cup.

Wendy Derrick - Dorrit Parry Vase.

Vicky Day - Endeavour Shield.

Jan Whiting - CC Bronze Rose Bowl and Most Improved Player, reducing from 36 to 31 handicap.

Matchplay Trophies

Millforge Singles Trophy won by Eunice Parkes.

Pembroke Pairs Trophy won by Rosie Moore and Ann Dassen.

(The Mixed Trophy winners will be published in January).

Floral gifts were then presented to Lind Coward for her very hard and successful work as lady captain and also to the amazing Rita Collins who has been treasurer for three of the last four years, only taking a break from the role to be lady captain.

They have been very ably assisted by all our lovely ladies... well done to you all!

Also a big thank you to all the ladies who have entered the competitions come rain or shine and it is lovely to see some new winners coming through.
