Monday, August 24, saw golfers from far and wide turn up at Trefloyne Manor for their annual seniors open. Considering the weather we had been having, the course was in very good condition; the weather on the day was cloudy and cool in the morning, but brightened for the afternoon.

As is usual, course form counts for a lot, and so it proved on the day. The winner and second in the 55 to 69 years category were both Trefloyne players, although there were a few players from away very close behind in the group vying for third.

The winner of this category was Peter Fisher with 38 pts. Second was John Drury with 37. Third on countback was a Derllys Court golfer, Graham Owens, with 36.

In the over 70 years category, home advantage told in both places, with Darrell Jones winning from Dennis Holloway.

Longest drive went to Graham Owens from Derllys Court, while nearest the pin went to another Derllys golfer, Graham Bebb.

Seniors captain, Jack Zeraschi, would like to thank everyone who turned up to play, and hopes he will see you again next year.
