A total of eighty-one players entered the Gents October Medal on Saturday.
Conditions were good and, generally, so was the scoring. Highlight of the day, though, was a hole-in-one on the sixth by Dan Cope.
The ace earned Dan two shares of the 2s pot, but in the end, he failed to complete his card, handing in a ‘no return’, as did 12 other players.
Leading scores and prize winners were as follows:
Division One: 1. Tim Edwards 79-11-68 (medal plus £43.50); 2. Darren Thomas 76-7-69 (£33); 3. Vivian John 81-9-72 (£22); 4. Jon Bolter 77-5-72 (£11).
Division Two: 1. Jeremy Peters 84-16-68 (medal plus £43.50); 2. Robert Howse 88-15-73 (£33); 3. Cameron Jnr Davies 104-28-76 (£22); Ralph Johns 94-18-76 (£11).
