TENBY Golf Club captain Rhys Davies was away on a cultural and sightseeing tour in Hamburg but his team managed a four all draw at the Parkland Course in Bancyfelin.

Dave Morris and Llyr Davies fought hard for their 1 up win.

Andy Pouton and Andy Cope got hammered 7 & 6 – a “dog licence” in the old days, whilst Chris Thompson and Mike Davies were almost as bad – losing 6 & 5.

Morgan Thomas and Rob Wilcox also lost but just by 2 down.

Consequently, Tenby were now down by three games to one.

Nick Thomas and Nick Allen won handsomely by 5 & 3 whilst Rhys Jones and Richard Prout were very steady winning 2 & 1.

Youngsters Joseph Nand-Lal and Ollie Morris claimed victory by a similar margin.

However, unfortunately the tail did not wag and Mick Seal and Grant Watkins fell 4 & 3.

Tenby’s next Dyfed League is away at Borth on Saturday 27th April.

Captain Rhys is always looking to strengthen his squad. His number is 07531-970384.
