THE boats are out at Tenby Sailing Club.

The large crane arrived in the early hours of Thursday for the annual lift-out of boats on to the hard standing next to the sailing club.

Not only are the pleasure craft into the maintenance season, but Ed Dashfield has a comprehensive plan for the Tenby Sailing Club safety fleet, to keep all the boats up to the RYA Standards.

The Frostbite racing series for all types of dinghy starts at 11am on Sunday, and weather permitting will be weekly until Christmas.

It culminates a successful season for the club especially in the National Redwing Challenge Series.

Dan Jackson reported: “Thanks to all who supported the class, with the club purchase of R244, which won the National Championships and the Summer Series.

“We had a great season with 11 races plus two new annual races around Caldey, and to Saundersfoot.

“The success of the 2025 Inland water Championship at Llys-y-Fran has sparked interest to return again next year for a weekend event as part of a Pembrokeshire Sunday Traveller series.

“Final placings for the Summer Series were: R244, R249, R241, R228, R190, R178.

“Robin Wood has had another good season, winning the Redwing Championship, and 3rd in the Europe Class Inlands in Northampton on 27/28 September.”

In the clubhouse, the RNLI will benefit from a ‘Bangers and Mash’ evening on October 24th with entertainment by Cockles and Muscles. The following evening, Terry Evans will be hosting the first quiz of the winter season, and 15th November is the Blues Festival.

The TSC annual dinner and prize presentation will take place on November 21st at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel in Narberth with a complimentary coach laid on.

The AGM is on November 29th. Members are requested to submit their nominations for election to the committee and any other club positions as soon as possible.
