The St. Florence Under 14s girls carried on from last week, with a really good display of attacking football. Halle got the first goal of the game with a really good finish. Halle was unlucky to deflect a Johnston cross into her own net while she was trying to stop the opposition from scoring.
St. Florence were awarded a penalty after the ball was handled in the area, but Ellie’s shot was saved by the Johnston ’keeper.
The goals did come when Halle scored another two goals before half-time to get her hat-trick and to make it 3-1 at the break.
In the second half, Ellie made up for her penalty miss with a really good goal. Johnston showed that they were still in the game by getting their second goal.
Charlotte scored for St. Florence after good passing from Olwen and Ellie. Halle then got her fourth goal of the game and Ellie got her second. The game finished 8-2 to St. Florence when Charlotte scored her second goal to finish off a really good game.

Under 10s
Johnston travelled to St. Florence on Sunday which turned out to be a great game.
St. Florence took an early lead when Ava scored her first goal for the club. Before half-time, Johnston equalised.
In the second half, Hetty and Kate both scored to give St. Florence a good lead. But Johnston came back with some good goals of their own to make it 4-3 to them with only 10 minutes left.
The St. Florence girls showed great character to not give up and Hetty scored twice to give them the win in what was a great game to watch. Final score 5-4 to St. Florence.
