Angle halted a string of disappointing results on the weekend after securing a draw against near rivals Pennar Robins.

Neither side has set the world alight this season, with Angle going in with the better record, yet a win for Pennar would have seen them close the gap on their rivals to a point.

As it happened, neither side shone, with Josh Clarke scoring Angle’s goal and Luke Phillips netting one for the Robins.

Carew, meanwhile, have been showing good form this season, especially given they have recruited well. They’ll be even better now that Jordan Richards has re-signed for them.

That said, they couldn’t replicate that form at Clarbeston Road as they went down 6-5 in a thrilling encounter.

Sam and Jack Christopher both scored twice for the Rooks, while Scott Fearney nipped in for the other.

A draw, too, for Lamphey after they secured a point against visiting Milford United, Nico Morrison grabbing the Stags’ only goal.

Better news for Monkton Swifts, though, with a 2-1 win at home to West Dragons.

This was an excellent result for the Swifts and proves they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

James Russell and Blake James were the men to score for the hosts.

Could this be Narberth’s season? Could they lift the division one trophy come April?

If their Twitter feed is anything to go by, they possibly think they can, given a recent post proudly displayed a screenshot of the latest league table that shows them sitting pretty in second place behind Goodwick United.

They secured that spot after a superb 4-1 home win over Neyland.

Jordan Williams was on fire for the home team, scoring twice, while Ben John and Dafydd Wright scored the others.

It was cup day in division two (apart from one game between Prendergast Villa and Solva that was postponed) and there was a truly epic encounter at Lawrenny as the home side just made it through to the next round thanks to a narrow 7-6 win over Kilgetty.

Steve Campbell scored the opener for the home team, before James Phillips hit twice, with the other goals coming from Tom Lewis, Joe Kidney, Matthew Lewis and Sam Davies.

For the heartbroken Kilgetty side, the goals came from Tom Baker, Brett Evans, and own goal and a second successive hat-trick for Henry Lawrence which was a fact lost on the Kingsmoor outfit’s social media administrator!

There’s no stopping Dylan Davies this season as the ace Hundleton striker was at it again for the hosts in their game against Merlins Bridge seconds.

Unfortunately for him, his goal counted for little as did Jack Phillips’s and Joe Buckle’s in the 4-3 defeat.

The game between Saundersfoot Sports and Hakin United seconds was postponed, although the match between St. Clears and Letterston went ahead and the Saints will be glad it did after securing a mighty 14-0 win.

Josh Jones was on form, hitting five goals, while Steve Thomas struck four and Sean Seymour-Davies three.

The other goals came via an own goal and one from Nathan Evans.

In division three, Pendine went down 8-0 at Milford Athletic, while a Jack Lear goal wasn’t enough for Carew seconds to get anything from their game against Manorbier United after the hosts lost 2-1.

Ryan Newton and Liam Price scored for the victors.

Pennar Robins’ seconds beat their counterparts from Narberth 3-0 thanks to goals from Cameron Brunton, Charlie O’Sullivan and an own goal, while St. Florence just beat Pembroke Boro 5-4.

Phil Evans scored three for the winners and David Webb two. For the Boro, the goals were shared between Jake Campbell, Mark Evans, Jason Beynon and George McBest.

Lamphey seconds went down 14-2 away at Neyland, despite goals from Steffan Sandford and Lawrence Ford, while Pennar thirds prevailed over Angle seconds.

The game between Solva seconds and Kilgetty seconds was postponed, while St. Clears’ seconds beat St. Ishmaels’ seconds 5-2 thanks for a hat-trick from Joe Gouldingray and one each from Lewis Driscoll and Tristan Hancock.

In division five, the game between Carew Thirds and Cosheston was postponed, as were the games between Johnston seconds and Saundersfoot Sports and Hundleton seconds’ game at Letterston.

Pembroke Boro seconds took the field, though, as they entertained Milford Athletic and won 3-2 thanks to goals from Sean Edmondson, Jordan Wallace and Glyn Wallace.
