Pembrokeshire football was back with a bang this weekend after a host of matches in the previous round of games fell foul of the weather with a mix of league and cup fixtures taking place.
Big news over the weekend was Pennar Robins picking up their first win of the season and indeed their first points.
With nothing to show after six games the Robins would have been wondering where their next point was coming from, well they will be wondering no more after they got the better of Clarbeston Road to win 2-1.
Phil John and Paul Sly were the heroes for the home team.
Seven miles or so up the road and Carew were involved in a close encounter with Merlins Bridge.
They are equal on points on the league (both have 14) and they were each others equals in this game too as it finished 3-3.
Sam Christopher proved why he has been such a big signing for the Rooks scoring all three of the home team’s goals.
Anthony Webb was in tip top form for Lamphey down at Herbrandston as the Stags came out on top 4-1.
Webb was irresistible throughout scoring three of the away team’s four goals while Billy Davies nipped in for the other.
It wasn’t such a good day for Monkton Swifts however as they made the short trip across the Cleddau to play Neyland with the Nomads coming out on top as 7-1 winners.
Matthew Davies scored the Swift’s only goal.
Better news for Narberth however as their fine form continued with a 2-1 win at West Dragons.
The Bluebirds sit third after the win thanks to goals from Dafydd Wright and Morgan Preece.
St Clears had few problems at Fishguard Sports winning 6-4 while at Hundleton the game between the hosts and Lawrenny was nothing short of superb as it finished 3-3.
Rhodri Davies, Joe Buckle and Jack Phillips all scored for the hosts while Owen James struck a brace for Lawrenny with Chris Beth adding the other.
Games between Saundersfoot and Kilgetty are always tasty affairs and the one over the weekend was no exception and bragging rights went to the home side.
Given Kilgetty’s form this season the win was no mean feat and the manner of it was doubly impressive. They won 5-2, a result few would have foreseen.
The Cope brothers ran the show for the home team as Nick scored a hat-trick and Richard nipping in for one of his own alongside a Chris Milward goal.
For Kilgetty, Rhys Hewson scored both.
It was cup day in the third division although St Florence won’t be playing any further part in the competition after they failed to raise a side against Milford Athletic
Carew seconds made it through to the next round with a narrow win over Clarbeston Road seconds.
They won 3-2 after a brace from Sam Harts and one form Dan Bates.

A 3-2 win for Manorbier also after a close win at Pembroke Boro.
