Carew are through to the fifth round of the West Wales Intermediate Cup after overcoming the challenge of Bonymaen Colts.
The Rooks travelled away from home to take on the Swansea-based team and went through after winning 2-0, following goals by Sam and Jack Christopher.
In league action, Angle narrowly went down at home against second from bottom Milford United.
The hosts, just three places better off in the league but with a 13-point cushion over the Robins going into this game, would have been confident of a win ,yet they lost 3-2.
Pennar Robins’ game at Clarbeston Road was postponed, while Narberth had a good result at Herbrandston after beating the bottom placed team 4-1.
The win places the Bluebirds second in the table and they had to come from behind to get there.
They went a goal down, before Tony Evans scored twice, followed by goals from Luke Raymond and Ben John.
Two goals by Ryan Griffiths helped Monkton Swifts draw 2-2 with Neyland, while Lamphey beat West Dragons 2-0 after goals by Billy Davies.
The club was boosted in the week with news that Dai Stanley is their new first team manager.
In division two, there was a real battle between Hundleton and St. Clears after the visitors won 6-4.
Hundleton’s goals came from Brandon Sture, Dillon Davies, Jack Blunsden and James Potter, while the Saints’ goals were scored by Thomas Sattlecker, John Thomas and three from Josh Jones.
Kilgetty v Prendergast Villa was postponed, while an Owen James goal helped Lawrenny draw 1-1 with Llangwm.
Saundersfoot Sports’ game against Letterston was postponed.
In division three, Carew seconds had a good win at home over St. Florence after hitting 16 goals without reply.
Jordan Richards led the way with 10 goals, followed by two from Jacob Knox and one apiece from Corey Hill, Dario Rossi, Harvey Langstone and Rhys Davies.
Manorbier United v West Dragons’ seconds was postponed, while Pendine lost 3-2 at Milford United seconds.
Narberth seconds v Goodwick United seconds fell foul of the weather, but goals from Stuart Slater, Joey Williamson and Jordan Wright helped Pembroke Boro to a 3-2 win over Milford Athletic.
In division four, Lamphey seconds went down 7-4 at home against Kilgetty seconds, with all other games in the division postponed, apart from St. Clears’ seconds v Angle seconds which the home team won 34-0.
Yes, that’s right, 34-0 and Joe Gouldingray scored 11 of them, with Andrew McNabe and Lewis Driscoll hitting four, Tristan Hancock six and Steve Trivet and Harry Griffiths two each.
The other goals came from Henry Foster, Jake Holland, Sion Blundell, Peter Griffiths and Luke Peters.
Meanwhile, in division five, Saundersfoot Sports’ seconds drew 3-3 with Camrose seconds, while Carew thirds’ game against Lawrenny seconds was postponed.
