TENBY were denied the three points by a late equaliser by Pennar Robin’s Kieran Smith in a Manderood Pembrokeshire Division One clash on Saturday.

Toby Davies gave hosts Pennar the lead on the half hour with a low shot into the far corner but Tenby were back on level terms six minutes later, Dan Storer with a bullet header.

The visitors nudged ahead very early in the second half, Liam Williams with a close range finish after latching on to Jerome Williams’ cross but Smith had the final say with a fine finish from the edge of the area in the 87th minute.

Hakin United maintained their two-point lead at the top of the table with a 3-1 win against Fishguard Sports, who took an early lead courtesy of a Greg Hughes penalty.

Ryan Wilson equalised on the stroke of half time and a couple of late goals by Ashley Bevan sealed the win.

Last season’s champions Goodwick United trail by two points after a comfortable 8-1 win at Kilgetty – William Howarth (2), Rhys Jones (2), Ben Adams, Jake Smith, Rhys Dalling, and Guto Roberts. Callum Proctor replied for the hosts.

Monkton Swifts and St Ishamaels are also on 13 points after both picked up wins on Saturday.

Goals by Dylan Davies (2), Paul Miller (2), Connor Davies, Jimmy Wilkes and James Russell saw the Swifts to a 7-3 win at Merlins Bridge who hit back through Jordan Thomas, Samuel Nicholas and Iwan Howells whilst St Ishmaels beat Claberston Road by the odd goal in three.

Finley Armstrong and Ieuan Hawkins gave the hosts a two-goal buffer before Jake Wesley reduced the deficit on 67 minutes.

Narberth picked up their first three points of the season after a close encounter against Carew finished 3-2.

Ashley Williams gave Narberth the early advantage with Tony Evans doubling their tally in the first minute of the second half.

Sonny Phillips made it 2-1 just before the hour mark but Steffan Williams restored the hosts’ two-goal buffer with 15 minutes remaining.

Carew’s Marcus Griffiths missed a penalty on 79 minutes but made amends with a goal two minutes later. It proved too little too late.
