One week to go and still none the clearer, anyone who thought last year’s title race was close obviously didn’t have a crystal ball to foresee this year’s run in.

This year is closer than last.

Haverfordwest went into week 17 with a lead only to see the weather intervene in their game against Llangwm meaning it couldn’t go to a finish, yet Cresselly and Neyland were able to complete their matches so the Town slip to third.

Cresselly overcame Kilgetty claiming and all but in name win over the Kingsmoor outfit thanks to Dan Sutton’s 104 not out helping the to a total of 209-5.

In reply, Kilgetty got to 123-9 with Kyle Marsh top scoring on 38.

The result helped Cresselly but not Kilgetty as their rivals for relegation, Burton, won easily at Johnston.

Cresselly have a six point cushion going into the last week over Neyland while Kilgetty have a 17 point lead over Burton. It’s going to be close.

Neyland beat Whitland by seven wickets after the Borderers were all out for 120 despite Connor Bowen’s 46 while Lawrenny, Cresselly’s opponents on Saturday were unable to play as their match against St Ishmael’s was abandoned.

No matches went to a finish in division two although Carew and

Saundersfoot were able to take the field with Saundersfoot all out for 72 at against the Rooks.

Rob Scourfield took 6-13 while Sam Franklyn hit 29 for the Foot.

Both sides had their promotions confirmed after the result.

Richie Adams hit 80 not out at Cresselly seconds and Lewis Hough

an unbeaten 73 before rain intervened with Narberth closing on 166-0 while in division three, only Lamphey failed to play as their home match against lawrenny seconds didn’t take place.

Lamphey going into the final game in fifth yet they could still be relegated such is he closeness of the league.

Pembroke Dock played at Narberth and had an all but win in name result against the home team’s seconds. The results helps them going into Saturday’s final game at home against Lamphey as they remain in second place.

The Dock hit 166-4 thanks to Nick Daley’s 37 and Luke Murray’s 58.

Narberth closed on 73-6.

Carew seconds may have be crowned champions on the weekend but they still somehow managed to lose to Haverfordwest Thirds who set them 165 to win.

Carew were all out for 55 for the weekend shock result of the day.

In division four, Saundersfoot seconds lost to Hook seconds by four wickets with Saundersfoot reaching 120-9 in their allotted overs and Hook reaching 125-6 while Laugharne cemented their position as the division’s champions with an 8 wicket win over bottom club Hundleton.

Laugharne hit 49-2 in response to Hundleton’s 48 all out.

In division five, the only game to finish was Carew thirds’ 73 run win over Stackpole seconds.

Carew scored 211-4 thanks to Luke Hicks’ 78 and Ashley Smith’s 66 while Stackpole finished on 138-4 after George Smith hit 73 not out.
