New president of the West Wales Ladies Bowling Association is Saundersfoot Bowling Club member and Welsh international Ceris Hewlings.
Ceris was presented with the prestigious chain of office by outgoing president Margaret Sanders, of Neyland, at the association's annual general meeting held at the Nantyffin Motel, Llandissilio, on Saturday.
Senior vice-president is Pam Langdon, of Haverfordwest BC, while junior vice-president is Gwen Hale, of Pendine BC.
The association's other three main officers - secretary Ann Thomas (Haverfordwest BC), treasurer Mary Cavell (Saundersfoot BC) and assistant secretary/competitions secretary Anne Gray (Fishguard BC) remain in post.
At the annual general meeting, all officers reflected on a successful year, both on and off the green, with outgoing president Margaret thanking her club and the association for a memorable year.
New president Ceris also paid tribute to the support of her fellow club members in Saundersfoot and said it was not just her special year, but one for the club to revel in too.
Ceris is the fifth member of Saundersfoot to take on the president's role. She follows in the footsteps of the late Kath Cole, and Mary Cavell, Gloria Dugmore and Ann Lewis.
Following the annual general meeting, a three-course luncheon and presentation of trophies was held, also at Nantyffin.
Guests included Welsh president Lynda Hall, of Knighton BC, and her husband Geoff, and WWLBA life members Helen Lewis-John (Neyland BC), Mary Cavell (Saundersfoot BC) and Mair Marquiss (Tenby BC).
During the luncheon, special presentations were made to Ceris by Saundersfoot BC president Ann Lewis and vice-chairman Diane Rigden. Bouquets of flowers were also presented to Ceris by Gwen Hale on behalf of the WWLBA and Jackie Church, past president, on behalf of Pembroke Dock and Park Ladies.
In addition, Gloria Dugmore, presented Ceris with a set of handmade table numbers to be used at county functions which was warmly received.
The toast to the Welsh Women's Bowling Association was proposed by immediate past president Margaret, with Welsh president Lynda giving the response.
Welsh president Lynda also gave a toast to the West Wales Ladies Bowling Association, with president Ceris giving the response.
A toast to 'Our President' was proposed by senior vice-president of the WWLBA Pam Langdon before the county competition trophies were presented by immediate past president Margaret.

Two-wood pairs - winners Steph and Gemma Amos (Saundersfoot); runners-up Mary Codd and Win Howells (Haverfordwest).
Four-wood pairs - winners Steph and Gemma Amos (Saundersfoot); Sara John Davies and Ann Thomas (Haverfordwest).
Triples - winners Gemma Amos, Marion Evans and Ceris Hewlings (Saundersfoot); runners-up Margaret Lewis, Ann Rosine-Dann, Ann Thomas (Haverfordwest).
Rinks - winners Gemma Amos, Steph Amos, Marion Evans, Ceris Hewlings (Saundersfoot); runners-up Moria Chadd, Anne Wicks, Margaret Caley, Penny Brickle (Pembroke Dock).
