More than £10,000 has been awarded to Pembrokeshire sports clubs in the latest bid to get more people active.
In the latest round of Community Chest funding approvals, a total of £10,370 has been awarded to 11 different sports clubs and organisations in the county.
Sport Wales' Community Chest grant offers clubs and organisations up to £1,500 of National Lottery funding. It is designed to encourage more people to be more active and is run locally in partnership between Sport Pembrokeshire and Sport Wales.
In the latest round, funding was awarded to: Fishguard Bay Yacht Club - £1,430; Haverfordwest Cricket Club - £705; Lamphey Cricket Club - £780; Milford United Football Club - £376; Pembroke Cricket Club - £720; Narberth Cricket Club - £894; Lawrenny Yacht Club - £1,500; Haverfordwest Kayak Club - £1,500; Pembroke RFC Junior Section - £745; Jemima Rowing Club - £1,500; Herbrandston Cricket Club - £220.
Carol Greenhalgh, chair of the Community Chest panel for Pembrokeshire, said: "The money will help sport at grassroots levels by creating and developing more activities and increased participation.
"It is pleasing that the grants are being given to clubs across a number of different sports at different points in their development."
Sport Wales senior regional officer for Pembrokeshire, Carwyn Young, said: "We know that it can make a tangible difference at grassroots level and be a real boost to the activity in our local clubs."
In the previous four years of Community Chest, clubs and organisations in Pembrokeshire have been awarded £197,751.17.
The next funding round is in February.
