QUIZ EVENING

The annual bowling club quiz evening took place last week, hosted as usual by question master Dennis Reed with Graham Hughes keeping the scores.

The lounge was packed with teams from the club with various local organisations also taking part all puzzling to answer 100 questions, plus two added picture rounds.

The eventual winners were the Rotary Club with an impressive score of 103, with Paddy’s Gang not far behind on 96 and Barking Mad third on 94.

The evening was again kindly sponsored by the Hyundai Garage in Kilgetty with the winners donating their prize back to the club.

Thanks must go not only to Dennis and Graham, but also to Dave Davies and Lynne Reyed for manning the bar and Alwen Hughes, Joyce Howe and club president Ann Lewis, plus other members who helped make the night a success.

At the end of a most enjoyable evening, president Ann thanked everybody for their attendance and those who donated raffle prizes which helped to add greatly to club funds.

The Rotary Club themselves will be holding their annual quiz on Monday, March 12, at the Merlewood Hotel in Saundersfoot.
