TENBY 118 (14 pts.)

SAUNDERSFOOT 52 (0)

The Layton and Co Solicitors sponsored Tenby side played their last home match of the 2012 season last Saturday. Opponents of the day were local rivals Saundersfoot, who as always were up for a battle. With both sides missing a few key players, they took to the green.

Neil Dickinson, James Criddle, John Baggott and Craig Guymer were drawn on rink one. A confident start was made by the home rink and they consolidated this throughout the contest, winning by a 13-shot margin.

Gerald Hewitt, Kevin Lewis, Mike Jackson and John Roberts were involved in a very competitive contest on their rink. Matched up against canny Saundersfoot skip Steve Dick, JR and his men had to pull out all the stops to withstand a late comeback from the opposition. The contest went all the way to the last end, with the Tenby boys picking up a three to secure a final four-shot victory.

Cameron White, Brian Kingdon, Dai Spencer and captain Jon Webb were on rink three. The Tenby four always had the upper hand in this match and a convincing 23-shot win was the final outcome, which even included the second maximum eight count of the day.

Top rink of the day was Ben Cloake, Aaron Lloyd, Joe Richards and Andrew Muskett. This match had the first maximum eight count of the day for the Tenby rink and 26 shots was the final difference between the two rinks.

A very convincing victory brought the curtain down on another very successful season for the Tenby team. Pembrokeshire League champions for the fifth time on the bounce and another Carruthers semi-final was once again a very fine achievement for all involved.
