The Quins kept their fine home form going with a resounding win over a spirited St. Davids side, who were unlucky not to score a few more points themselves.

The Quins opened the scoring after just 10 minutes when scrum-half Adam Cawley danced his way past at least six would-be tacklers in a mesmerising run to score halfway out.

Neil Brace added the conversion, but St. Davids hit back almost immediately when scrum-half Jack Jones slotted over a difficult penalty.

The Quins were not to be outdone, however, and when fullback Lewis Davies caught a loose kick just outside his 25, he fed centre Lee Scourfield, who went off on an arcing 60-yard run to the line. This time Brace hit the post with the conversion attempt.

There was no stopping the Quins now, and a quick tap penalty enabled Cawley to grab his second try of the match and his seventh in the last three home games.

The bonus point try came soon after when number eight Gareth Scourfield intercepted another loose pass to gallop 40 yards to the Saints line.

Brace added the extras this time, and Dean Lawrence rounded off the first half scoring with an unconverted try after a fine run to send the Quins into the break 31-3 to the good.

It was a question now of how many tries the hosts would notch up in the second half and, surprisingly it was only four.

The Quins were a little bit guilty of white line fever and there was also some dogged defence by the visitors, who never threw in the towel.

The Quins' second half tries were scored by Paul Jonkers, replacement Phil Hughes, the diving Liam Smith and a second try of the match for Lee Scourfield, who touched down with the last move of the match.

The Quins were unable to convert any of the four second half tries, with Brace and Lawrence missing the kicks between them.
