Tenby police's policy of 'zero tolerance' on the 'disorderly behaviour' of individuals visiting the resort on Hen and Stag parties has kicked into action following a number of incidents at the weekend.

Five men, all aged in their late 20s, were reported by officers after being seen walking completely naked along Marsh Road, Tenby, during the early hours of Saturday morning, while later that night, a number of men from the South Wales area were arrested in the town centre, also for public order offences.

In a separate incident, two males from the Rhondda area were arrested during the early hours of Sunday morning on suspicion of causing criminal damage at Crestville Motel, New Hedges.

Both were interviewed and subsequently bailed pending further police inquiries.

Officers have confirmed that all the people arrested and reported over the weekend were visiting the area on Stag parties.

"We are operating a policy of zero tolerance and will be arresting and reporting people for any offence, rather than using our discretion," warned a police spokesman this week.

The disorderly behaviour crackdown comes after senior officers voiced concerns earlier this month about the 'unwarranted behaviour' of some individuals in Tenby as the popularity of the town as a venue for Hen and Stag parties increases.
