Chris and Karina Ebsworth of Folly Farm (not only participants in the TenFoot Swim and Swim/Run event but also sponsors)?have shared an update on their training towards the event.

“Despite the usually mad dash to get home from work, grab some food, clean the house and taco the kids we have managed to get quite a few miles in here and there (and with some very strange looks from local dog walkers) have tested out running in wet shoes,” said Karina.

“We’ve had lots of help from the lovely Emma Richards at Tenby Leisure Centre who has been putting us to test in the pool during weekly swim fit.”

“With all the great weather we have dusted off the wetsuits and are preparing to brave the sea over the next few weeks. But the ultimate goal is to try out a few swim run sessions ASAP,” added Chris.

If you would like to join the TenFoot Challenge weekend they have something for all ages and levels of fitness, starting with the FootStep run on the evening of Friday, July 12 with a Family Friendly Fun Run with distances for all abilities (Fancy Dress highly encouraged).

The Saturday brings the 5k Endurance Swim and at the same time the new 5.5m Swim/Run will be taking place both starting in Tenby and ending in Saundersfoot.
