Sir, Re. Yorkshire Building Society Charity Appeal - Christmas 2007. May I, through the columns of your newspaper, express the thanks of all the staff of Tenby Branch of Yorkshire Building Society, to the local traders and people of Tenby, for all their support in our Christmas Appeal for Macmillan Cancer Care. This has resulted in a wonderful total of £538 collected, which the Charitable Foundation matched, making a total of £1,076 from Tenby alone. Together with the other Yorkshire Building Society branches and head office, the society has raised £110,000. The prizes were kindly donated by: Arch House Jewellers, Waterloo House, Temptations, TP Hughes and Son, County Clothes, Seafront Pharmacy, Carringtons Restaurant, Bloomin' Marvellous, Clarice Toy Shop, Jago, The Card Shop, Dales Music Shop, Boots the Chemist, Elements of Floristry, Walk on Water. Hamper items: Trafalgar Stores, Four Seasons, Roseanne Phillips, Joyce Owen, and all the staff members. A wonderful result!
