The quarter meeting of the Withybush Hospital League of Friends was held at the hospital on March 11.
A cheque for £195 was presented by Ray and Gill Putterill, of Goodwick. This brings their total contribution over the past nine years to £2,429. Over the Christmas period they dress up their miniature Shetland ponies and collect in Haverfordwest.
A letter of request was received from Mr. Milewski, colorectal consultant surgeon, for a ligature diathermy device. The electronic machine would be used after bowel and pelvic surgery. The cost of the device would be £12,000. After consultation, the members agreed to the application.
Any donations, however small, would be thankfully received. The treasurer, Bryn Perkins, can be contacted on (01646) 600141.
The car boot sales for 2003 are: April 5, May 3, June 7, June 14, July 5, July 12, August 2, August 9, September 6 and September 13. The sales are held at the hospital car park from 7 am to 12.30 pm. Sellers £5 a space. All monies received from these car boots is used to provide equipment for the hospital. Helpers are required to assist in car parking.
