IF you were at the recent sell-out Desmond Dekker gig at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, you may know the answer. What a night! If you ever wanted to feel an energy bouncing from stage to audience and audience to stage, this was it. The Fred Herring Band's self-penned 'Dead Man Walking', lit the fuse to an evening that would explode into a musical experience, so by the time Desmond Dekker shouted "Jump!" the audience truly jumped. Sadly, Mr. Dekker... has left the building, but happily the Fred Herring Band have not. They are about to embark on their 'Fred's At Home' tour. Who or what is Fred Herring? You can find out - catch them at Cromwells Tavern, Pembroke on November 14, the Queen's Hall in Narberth on November 26 (Grand Hootenannie), the Station Inn, Pembroke Dock, on December 18, and Bunch of Grapes, Newcastle Emlyn, on December 31.
