Whitland cricketers are busy preparing for a major spring clean on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13. Club chairman Richard Merriman has called for the support of all players, supporters, officials, families and friends to help the club get ready for the new season by lending a helping hand at the NatWest Cricket Force Weekend. He said: "We would like all volunteers to turn up for a fairly early start on Saturday, April 12, at 8.30 am, and on the Sunday at 9 am. "We need as many people as possible to help paint the outside of the boundary wall, the changing rooms, the sight screen and the boundary roads, as well as assistance with other small but important jobs to keep the clubhouse, dressing rooms, ground and facilities up to the current high standard."
