Sir, Where have all the ponies gone? They have vanished, every one. For a great many years, people have enjoyed driving through the Preseli mountain roads and at this time of the year seeing the mountain ponies with their newly-born foals running about. They used to attract many admirers, locals and visitors alike. I think it is a great pity we have lost part of our rural character. If their removal is the result of the passport scheme, is there anything that can be done to bring them back. A concerned nature lover.
