Stackpole VC School pupils are on target to learn archery skills after being inspired by Wales' top bow-woman.
Clare Harris, of Maidenwells, became the number one ranking female archer in Wales last month. She was recently invited to give a talk to the schoolchildren.
As a result, the school PTA is to fund an 'Arrows' resources kit, produced by Archery GB, so that pupils - including Clare's sons, James and Toby - can take her inspiration into their own hands.
Clare said: "Archery is an excellent sport for children of all ages, as it teaches so many skills for personal, social and mental development.
"At primary school level, it can teach maths through scoring, literacy through language, and citizenship though co-operation and self-discipline. And, of course, it's great fun and the children are learning an Olympic sport."
Clare first picked up a bow aged 10, when her dad was a member of the Pembroke Archery Club. Now the reigning Welsh champion, she will soon compete to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Denmark and the first-ever European Games in Baku.
Stackpole VC School base leader, Mrs. Sandra Bryant, said: "Clare's success is phenomenal and it was inspiring for our students to hear from her about the dedication and perseverance it takes to reach the top in any sport.
"We are always looking for innovative ways to introduce cross-curricula activities and the children are looking forward to testing out the new archery kit."
