Tenby town council are on the look out for another new member after a resignation this week.

Mrs. Alex Rees, of Clareston Road was co-opted onto the council back in January, to fill a vacancy in the North Ward, but said she would be standing down from the role this week after meeting with the Mayor, due to work and other commitments.

“I am saddened to have to resign but feel it is in the best interest of the Council as someone else may be able to give the position more time,” her comments read out by the town clerk at a meeting of the town council on Tuesday night stated.

Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane said that it was sad that she had resigned, but understood her position with her commitments increasing. She informed the town clerk to start the process for a for a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy.
