A very interesting and thought-provoking presentation by Chris Lawrence, of Transitionarberth, was well attended by members of the local branch of the Chartered Management Institute and members of the general public recently.

With oil as our major energy source at present, there are concerns about what will happen when cheap oil production peaks in a few years time and we move to another energy based economy.

Over the last few years this problem has been addressed by numerous Transition Towns across Britain, and the Narberth group, formed a year ago, has already started to think through alternative and innovative approaches to the issues of food, local skills and community strengths, which Chris outlined to his audience.

There is always a debate following a presentation and this was lively and productive
