Pembrokeshire County Council are proposing installing four traffic calming islands on the main road in Begelly.

“These will require drivers to give way to oncoming traffic,” County Councillor for Kilgetty and Begelly, Cllr Alistair Cameron told members of the Community Council at their most recent meeting.

“Two will give priority to northbound vehicles and they will alternate with two giving priorities to southbound vehicles,” he added.

Community Councillors were invited to a site meeting recently at the Fir Grove junction with the A478 where council officers were able to explain the proposals.
