Tenby Fire Station has won a top award.

The crew won the Firefighter's Charity Award at the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service's new Celebrating Success Awards at Parc y Scarlets on Thursday evening.

It was presented for their dedication to raising money for the Firefighter's Charity, including their work in organising the resort's annual firefighter's carnival.

The event was sponsored by companies who have had a long history of working with the service, and the event was hosted by S4C presenter Angharad Mair.

Sion Brace, of Tenby Fire Station, said: "A big thanks goes to head of Pembrokeshire County Command, Steve Bryant, for this nomination."

Group manager Martin Hurlow said: "We would like to thank above all the members of the public who contribute to the fundraising for this important charity."
