Last Monday, the Tenby Project had a trip out to Pendine thanks to Green Dragon Community Transport. It was a beautiful day and the minibus was filled with people looking forward to a pleasant day out. After a lovely scenic drive along the coast, the group arrived in Pendine and had a wander along the front.

Finding that the Museum of Speed was no longer there, and a huge new building is being built in its place, the café right on the front seemed a good place for a base. From there, people went for a wander on the beach, popped round to the shop, and of course sat with cups of tea and coffee, and later lunch, all while enjoying the sea view and good company.

After another lovely drive back to Tenby, the group had a planning meeting back in Augustus Place. Participants planned which certificate they were going to work on – including meal preparation and cooking, information technology and using leisure time. Fundraising was discussed, as the initial grant ends at the end of March. It was agreed to have a raffle at the coffee morning each Monday, and to have stall with crafts etc for sale.

In the afternoon this Monday, April 4, the Red Cross will be giving a first aid training session online – a test for the Tenby Project’s new technology! If you would like to join this session, come along to Augustus Place for 1.30 pm. A donation towards running costs would be appreciated, but the course itself is free.

Everyone is welcome to come to the coffee morning at Augustus Place this Monday from 11 am to 12 noon. It will be £1 for tea or coffee and biscuits and there will be a raffle for £1 a strip.
