Sir, Since writing my letter last week, I have been inundated with support and realise I am far from the only person thinking, is this really needed? It also appears that no-one is in agreement with the demolition of the Infant School to replace a rugby pitch for Greenhill School. The plans for the new school, show a school far too small for the number of pupils forecasted, with much smaller play areas than the schools have at present. Sadly it lacks character and looks like a steel factory. If all this is at the sake of having a Welsh Primary School, created at the Junior School site, surely another location could be found! Pentlepoir school is owned by the authority, it would be very accessible for parents out of catchment, being very central. The effect of this would ease congestion in Heywood Lane, and, as already mentioned, cause much less expenditure as PCC already own the site. The Junior and Infant schools remain and Greenhill retain their present rugby pitches! I think the phrase that best fits is 'If it's not broken, don't fix it!' Personally, I think Tenby needs a petition to stop this major project from going ahead - what does the rest of Tenby think.

Sandra Williams,

Tenby.
