Whatever you gave up for Lent, don't give up on Tenby's Lent lunches.

There are six Lent meals this year - at the Salvation Army Church, St. Johns Church and in Church House at St. Mary's.

They start on Wednesday at 12 noon until 1.30 pm at St. Mary's Church, which is also the venue for lunch the week afterwards on March 19.

On offer at these special frugal lunches - to reflect world hunger - is a delicious bowl of homemade soup, a roll and a cuppa.

Previously, lunches at the churches have raised well over a thousand pounds for Tenby branch of Christian Aid.

Just drop in between 12 and 1.30 pm. Entry is £4, though you're invited to give a bit more.

It's a chance to meet new people and reflect on the true meaning of Easter, while helping starving families in poverty-ravaged countries.

Anyone who can't spare time for lunch is asked to leave something at the door or with the secretary at 9 Crackwell Street, Tenby.
