A magical evening of family entertainment is in store on Friday, August 24, when Anvil Productions perform The Legends of King Arthur at Colby Woodland Garden, near Amroth. The mystery of Merlin, the Sword in the Stone, the swashbuckling Knights of the Round Table, and the Quest for the Holy Grail are just some of the legends which will be explored and brought to life with the aid of special effects, music and spectacular costumes. Anne Jones, Anvil's artistic director, said: "This colourful production has been specially written to appeal to all age groups. Whether you are young in age or young at heart, the legends are presented in an exciting and entertaining way which will transport you back to a long lost world of dragons and magic." The performance starts at 6 pm and will take place in the meadow, so bring chairs or blankets, suitable clothing and picnics if you wish. Staff from the Bothy Tearoom will also be serving a variety of mouth-watering refreshments, ranging from hot pork rolls with apple sauce and stuffing and hot drinks to ice creams and cakes, both before the show starts and during the interval.
