Saundersfoot Community Council, as part of their celebration’s for The Queen’s 90th birthday is holding a ‘Clean for the Queen Day’ on Saturday, April 23.

Chairman of the community council, Clr. Phil Baker initially proposed that it should be a big beach clean, however, it was agreed that the event should encompass the whole village and community.

The community council are inviting residents to join them in this effort to clean an area of the village that is of significance to them, in their street, where they enjoy walking or join others on the beach or around the centre of Saundersfoot.

The community council is asking groups, individual and families, to come along on this day of action and show pride in Saundersfoot.

The event will run from 10 am - 12 noon and the community council will provide bags and equipment and arrange for the collected rubbish to be collected.

Those taking part will receive a certificate of appreciation.

Registration will take place outside the Regency Hall from 9.30 and you will need to be registered to be able to get a certificate. Refreshments will also be available at registration.

“We look forward to seeing many residents, young and old, on April 23 and hope that the weather is kind to us,” said Clr. Baker.
