Local people featured in ‘The Harbour’ programme filmed in Tenby have been called wonderful ambassadors for the town.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter said that the ITV Wales six-part series, filmed across the four seasons, had shown Tenby in a ‘good light’.

“I’d like to congratulate everybody that has taken part in The Harbour, they’ve all been wonderful ambassadors for the town!” she said.

“The show has shown Tenby in a good light, and even in the rain it looks wonderful!” added Clr. Mrs. Rossiter.

Clr. Trevor Hallett said that Tenby was proving a ‘perfect location’ for all those who wished to come to make films in the resort.

The final episode of the series to be shown on ITV Wales, on Monday, at 8 pm, focuses on the Ironman Wales even bringing huge crowds to Tenby’s North Beach, along with the second big boat lift of the year bringing the boats out of the water and onto the quayside and signalling the end of the season.
