Thanks to nominations from members of the public, Yorkshire Building Society's Tenby branch has donated £100 each to five different local charities.
Yorkshire Building Society's Tenby branch on Tudor Square held a Make a Difference Week campaign in September and announced it was looking to donate £100 to charities and good causes nominated by members of the public.
Five different local charities each received a nomination and have now been given a £100 boost.
The charities nominated were: Patch; H.O.P.E. MS Therapy Centre; Neyland Yacht Club; Penally Village Hall; Seatrust.
"We were so pleased to see the support members of the public have for charity and that we could make these donations and show some of our local charities a bit of support", said Sian Rees, Yorkshire Building Society's Tenby branch manager.
"Make a Difference Week is a great opportunity for us to help good causes that can often be overlooked for a donation and hear about the charities that are important in our community."
Make a Difference Week was held throughout the society's 231 branches and 99 agencies and saw a total of £127,000 donated by Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation between thousands of good causes.
The £500 donated to Tenby charities is possible thanks to Yorkshire Building Society's innovative 'Small Change, Big Difference' scheme. The scheme enables members to donate the pennies from their annual interest on their accounts each year to the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation and through it support thousands of charities every year.
