Darts

Not a great start to the New Year. Yet again we were firmly put in our place. The inability to secure that final double again proved our nemesis. Nil desperandum, we will come good!

Due to the withdrawal of Castle B there will be no fixture next week. In its place will be the club's annual darts championship which is open to all members and friends. Recent winners include Daniel Jackson, Colin Parmenter and Rolly Squibbs.

PHYC Visit

A large contingent from Pembroke Haven Yacht Club descended on Tenby and took part in a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Tenby (surprisingly) won the darts competition, with captain, Terry Evans, scoring a memorable 180!

The pool competition was easily won by PHYC, with the Wi ten-pin bowling very close indeed.

The evening's winners were decided by the quiz put on by Terry Evans - Tenby just stole the show.

Food, prepared by Terry Evans, was soon devoured by the ravenous masses.

All agreed the evening had been a great success and Tenby members are eagerly looking forward to the return to PHYC visit in February.

Scalextric Evening

By popular demand, a Scalextric Challenge has been arranged for tomorrow (Saturday) evening. This has always proved a very successful event in which members and friends can show off their 'driving' skills. Proceedings begin at 7.30 pm. Don't miss it.

A social calendar is being prepared which will be available as soon as some dates are confirmed. Watch this space.

Club Openings

The opening hours have reverted to Friday and Saturday evenings, with the occasional function thrown in. Any time variation will be published in advance. On a procedural note, would members please have their membership cards to hand as temporary bar staff may not know the identity of all our members?
