A change of venue signifies the start of the new season for 'The Nuts' poker league in Tenby. The Tuesday match is now being held at the Rugby Club in Upper Frog Street, with the Thursday match remaining at Tenby House Hotel, Tudor Square. Both matches have a 7.45 pm starting time.

Organisers Chris Fouracre and Neil Hart welcome new members, whether seasoned players or beginners. Tuition is available to those who want to learn or just brush up on their poker skills. The poker league is proving popular with both men and women of all age groups, and provides a good opportunity to socialise and make new friends. The meeting fee of £3 also includes a buffet.

Play is for 'points' not for money, and for those who accumulate the highest amount of points, there is the opportunity to qualify to play in the regional finals at the end of each season. Eighteen members qualified for the season ending June 30, with the top five being Kerry Maddison, Dave Le Grice, Chris Fouracre, Neil Hart and Naomi Meaney.
